In this video, Prof. Dr. Annette Hasenburg, Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Women’s Health at Mainz University Medical Center, presents the final survival data from the KEYNOTE-A18 study and assesses the role of pembrolizumab in combination with chemoradiotherapy. The focus is on the final data presented at ASCO 2025 for patients with FIGO 2014 stage III to IVA.
In addition, Prof. Hasenburg explains how patients are selected for therapy and addresses an important challenge in everyday clinical practice: While approval is based on the 2014 FIGO classification, the 2018 FIGO classification is used today. Drawing on the differences between the two classifications, he explains in particular how patients are classified as Stage IIIC according to the 2018 FIGO classification.
