Quality of care for locally advanced and metastatic urothelial carcinoma in Germany

This Medudy course is a video tutorial for physicians on the topic of "Quality of care for locally advanced and metastatic urothelial carcinoma in Germany."

Prof. Dr. Carsten Ohlmann, Chief Physician of the Department of Urology at Johanniter-Kliniken Bonn, presents real treatment data and recommendations for guideline-based care.

The course highlights the therapeutic challenge of locally advanced and metastatic urothelial carcinoma, where the quality of systemic treatment is paramount. The results of a national quality assurance initiative from 2022 and 2023, launched by national working groups, will be presented. The retrospective analysis focuses on first-line treatment decisions, the use of avelumab maintenance therapy, and the application of the Galsky criteria to determine platinum suitability. The aim is to close the data gap on guideline-compliant care in Germany and to identify potential for improvement based on real-world treatment data.
