This Medudy course is a video tutorial for physicians on the topic "SunRISe-5: TAR-200 for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer".
Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer remains a challenge after failure of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) treatment. Radical cystectomy is the standard treatment, but is associated with high morbidity and limitations in quality of life. The SUNRISE-5 trial is investigating TAR-200, an osmotic delivery system for the sustained administration of gemcitabine into the bladder, which represents a potential bladder-sparing alternative. The study aims to determine whether TAR-200 prolongs disease-free survival compared to standard intravesical chemotherapy.
Note: All "speakers" appearing in the Medudy videos are AI-based avatars used to improve the didactics of the videos. The people on whom the avatars are based have explicitly consented to their use. All content is based on high-quality scientific sources and is created and reviewed by the Medudy medical team.
At the end of this course you will know
