ASCO 2026 – Highlights in Urological Oncology for Clinical Practice

This Medudy course is a video podcast for physicians on the topic “ASCO 2026 – Uro-Oncology Highlights for Clinical Practice.” Prof. Dr. Axel Merseburger (University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, Lübeck Campus) and Prof. Dr. Christian Gratzke (University Medical Center Freiburg) summarize what they consider to be the most clinically relevant studies from ASCO 2026 on renal cell, urothelial, and
prostate cancer. Topics discussed include ctDNA data from KEYNOTE-564 (adjuvant pembrolizumab
for renal cell carcinoma), the long-term follow-up data from the EV-302 study, as well as the ADC concept from the NEXUS-01 study for urothelial carcinoma and the TALAPRO-3 study (talazoparib + enzalutamide), including the significance of molecular testing (genetic panel)
in prostate cancer. The experts derive concrete implications for counseling and treatment decisions in everyday clinical practice.

By the end of this continuing education session, you will know…
– the clinical significance and current limitations of ctDNA diagnostics in the adjuvant setting for renal cell carcinoma and urothelial carcinoma (KEYNOTE-564, Signatera/IMvigor).
– the long-term results of the EV-302 study (enfortumab vedotin + pembrolizumab) and their significance for the treatment of metastatic urothelial carcinoma.
– the mechanism of action of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) using the example of the NEXUS-01 study (target antigen Nectin-4, alternative payload).
– the results of the TALAPRO-3 study on the combination of a PARP inhibitor and enzalutamide, as well as the role of BRCA and other HRR mutations (e.g., ATM, CDK12).
– the growing importance of molecular testing (gene panel) for individualized treatment decisions in prostate cancer.
